Concerned For Westchester Playa happened when accidental activists Lisa Gaines and Tracy Thrower Conyers joined forces to shine a light on the travesty that is our current draft Community Plan Update.

As more and more neighbors became aware of the draft maps that comprise the current draft plan, other alarmed neighbor groups started forming. As we became aware of each other and started dialoguing, the concept of the Alliance was born as Community Alliance Concerned for Westchester Playa.

The Alliance is open to growing! Reach out if you have an aligned group.

Whether you have a group or not, we invite anybody to submit blog posts to our Community Voices blog. We will entertain submissions from any point of view, but do reserve the right to pass on submissions that are not well researched or advocate a perspective that would harm the Alliance or Concerned for Westchester Playa.

Concerned for Westchester Playa started in Summer 2023 as community members started to discover secret maps for radical density drafted by city planners for Westchester Playa as part of our community plan update.

Save Osage is a grassroots organization advocating for government accountability and community-based solutions, dedicated to keeping residents informed, engaged, and empowered through the Osage Community Hub, our central platform for neighborhood information promoting local connection and active involvement.

CONCERNED FOR KENTWOOD

Concerned for Kentwood welcomes all Kentwood residents, neighbors, and friends to get involved in order to stop the upzoning of single-family and du/tri/four-plex homes in Kentwood. In addition, we are committed to protecting our cherished little VONS business district and our essential transit corridors (all of Manchester and all of Sepulveda) from any upzoning.
